Moliets & around

Moliets-et-Maa · Les Landes

Where the pine forest meets the ocean

Moliets-et-Maa is a village on the Landes coast built for holidays on foot and by bike: beach, golf, forest trails and dinner are all within a few minutes of the apartment — the car can stay parked all week.

The beach: wide, wild, watched

Ten relaxed minutes through the pines and over the dune, and the Atlantic opens up in front of you. Moliets beach is enormous — even in August there is room for everyone — with lifeguarded swimming zones in season and surf schools for every age. Sunsets here end the day like a ceremony.

Golf with the ocean in the air

The Golf de Moliets — 27 holes designed by Robert Trent Jones, regularly ranked among continental Europe’s finest — begins literally behind the terrace. Off-season, this is a golfer’s hideaway: quiet fairways, mild Atlantic light, and a nine-minute walk to the first tee.

Families are the local speciality

The Courant d’Huchet reserve — a jungle-like river you can explore by traditional flat boat — is 16 minutes on foot. Add the Adrénaline Parc treetop courses (5 min), the freshwater Étang de Moliets for calm-water swimming (4 min), the Pop Corn Labyrinthe maize maze, and the flat, safe cycle paths of the Landes that start at the residence gate.
